Federal Aid Programs We Participate In:
To find out if you qualify, you’ll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/. Use our school code (016573) when applying.
A Pell Grant is awarded by the U.S. Department of Education based on your financial need. If you qualify, it is money that does not need to be repaid. It simply goes toward covering your education costs.
Pell Grant awards currently range up to $7,395 per year. The exact amount is based on your individual circumstances as determined through FAFSA.
To qualify, students generally must:
If you’re not sure whether you qualify, our financial aid advisors can help you understand the process and review your situation with you.
Student loans are borrowed funds that you repay after you’re no longer enrolled. They’re low-interest federal loans designed to help students access education they might not otherwise be able to afford.
Here’s the important part: if you qualify for federal loans, you won’t begin repayment until 6 months after you graduate, or 6 months after you drop below half-time enrollment. That means it may be possible to start your training with little or no money out-of-pocket and no monthly payments during school.
Note: Borrowing responsibly matters. Our financial aid team can help you understand the full cost of any loan you’re considering so you can make an informed decision.
Tuition is the same for in-state and out-of-state students. Financial aid is available to those who qualify at any of our campuses.
| Program | Registration | Tuition | Grad/Processing Fee | Total |
| Cosmetology | $150 | $20,450 | $225 | $20,825 |
| Barber | $150 | $20,450 | $225 | $20,825 |
| Massage Therapy (Port St. Lucie & Vero Beach) | $150 | $13,095 | $700 | $13,945 |
| Full Specialty (Vero Beach only) | $150 | $10,150 | $175 | $10,475 |
It depends on what you qualify for. If you receive a Pell Grant and loans that cover your tuition, it may be possible to begin training with no money down and no payments during school. Our financial aid team will help you understand what your specific situation looks like.
We offer flexible payment plans and will work with you individually to develop a schedule that fits your budget. Payment can be made by cash, check, credit card, or money order.
The Gold Seal Scholarship is available to eligible students through local high schools. Ask our admissions team if you may qualify.
Your student kit (including tools, supplies, and embroidered scrubs) is included as part of your program. Any additional equipment beyond the basic kit would be purchased separately by the student.
Refunds are calculated based on how far you’ve progressed in the program, per our refund policy. If you’re receiving federal financial aid, separate federal return-to-aid calculations also apply. We encourage all students to review the refund policy carefully before enrolling.
All campuses of Academies of Cosmetology are approved for veterans training. We’re honored to support veterans who are ready to build a new career in the beauty industry.
If you’re using VA education benefits, our team can walk you through the process, including how your benefits apply and what to expect during enrollment.
